Northern Lights workshops are taking place across Scotland throughout the submission period. Workshops are a great  introduction to the project, are accessible to all and full of helpful tips on shooting a video.

As well as workshops in Dumfries and Galloway, soon we’ll be in and around the Central Belt.

Monday 14 May, 5.45pm – 7pm
Filmhouse cinema, 88 Lothian Road, Edinburgh EH3 9BZ – Pop-up workshop
Open and free to everyone. Meet the Northern Lights team and brainstorm the 3 project questions, and see how easy it is yourself to get involved with the project!

Wednesday 16 & Thursday 17 May, 10 – 4pm (on both days)
Skatepark, North Berwick – workshop ran by Room 8 Studio
Free for all, the workshop is based at The Space – a youth-based social enterprise. At this workshop you will brainstorm the questions and shoot videos with structured team support.

Sunday 20 May – 3.30pm – 5.30pm
Glasgow at Southside Film Festival – workshop hosted by TUSK
Free and open to everyone. Come along to meet the Northern Lights team and brainstorm the 3 project questions. This is a great opportunity to kick off your involvement with the Northern Lights project.

Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 May – 10am – 4pm
Govanhill Baths, 12 Calder Street, Glasgow G42 7QR
Everyone welcome. At this workshop you will brainstorm the questions and shoot videos with structured team support.
