Northern Lights pops up at the Apple Store

On Sunday 29 April we want you to take out your iPhone and show us what you can see. The challenge: shoot a submission for Northern Lights in just one afternoon using only your iPhone.

All sorts of people, from all walks of life, come into Glasgow city centre each day. Many of course come to shop, but others come to visit a gallery or church, or to meet friends, escape home or find love. Who or what might you discover and how could you tell a visually interesting story of your discovery in under five minutes?

Northern Lights director Nick Higgins will set the brief and the Apple Store Buchanan Street will talk you through the technical aspects and show you how to get your footage onto a Mac ready to be uploaded to the Northern Lights website.

The day will conclude with a public screening of the submissions in store with feedback from Nick and a special guest to be announced.

All you need to take part is an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S.

The workshop is open to 20 participants and places are booked on a first come first served basis so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Please email workshops@wearenorthernlights.com to book a place. Please note this workshop runs from 10:00-17:30.

Submissions generated from this workshop are eligible for the Best Workshop submission award (£1,000)
